"Vive la mort, vive la guerre, vive le sacre mercenaire." ("Long live death, long live war, long live the cursed mercenary.")

The future is a far different thing than you may have hoped. Earth has been abandoned, other simians have taken their rightful place on top of the food chain, and humans have scattered amongst the stars.

Humans have discovered they can greatly extend their life spans by killing, and eating, processed aliens. They now scour the galaxy killing anything sentient in their path. Pestilent is the story of what happens when the aliens strike back with the help of two pacifist humans and the teachings of a dead religion.
